[How To] Stop iPhone from Tracking Location by Untrackerd Cydia app

If you are Apple’s iDevice user then shocking news for you is that Apple’s iOS records your location information.

But thanks to Ryan Petrich, who released an app and that too within less than 24 hours of this news to overcome this Location Recording issue. The app name is untrackered.

To install untrackerd cydia app, your iPhone must be jailbroken.

How to install Untrackerd

• Launch Cydia on your iphone.
• Go to Search tab and search for ‘Untrackerd‘.
• Tap on Install.
• Click on Confirm so that the app can be installed on your iphone.

The app does not add any new icon on your iPhone’s homescreen and you need not to configure anything. Just install the app and that’s it. The app will do its work.

How Untrackerd Cydia App works
This package installs a daemon process that runs in the background and it cleans the location history data stored in your phone continuously. So, the data is never stored on Apple’s data center.

It requires iOS 4.0 or higher.
