Samsung Galaxy Tab (SCH-I800) is still running Android 2.2 (Froyo). So, those who have bought it might be feeling little upset and we still don’t know when and if it would be running Gingerbread or HoneyComb. But anyways, XDA member Spacemoose1 is able to install HoneyComb on his SCH-I800 CDMA phone. This is being confirmed working on US Verizon SCH-I800 and US Sprint P-100.

Android 3.0 HoneyComb SDK Tools released

Android 3.0 HoneyComb SDK is released by Google and is available for download. Android 3.0 is basically designed for tablets. Google released a preview of SDK Android3.0, with system image and non-final APIs. Purpose of Android 3.0 is to give developers tools that they need to create apps for larger screen devices such as tablets.

HoneyComb – The Next Version of Android Platform

HoneyComb would be the next version of Android Platform. Google previewed Honey Comb, Android 3.0 at CES, Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas.

Honeycomb is designed for larger screen sizes devices, particularly for tablets. As per google, they have devoted their good time in refining the User Interface of honeycomb. They have taken special care of its UI.
