Developers at Android Central Forums have grabbed APK of Android Market 2.2.11. They placed this on Droid Incredible section of the forum but AliWaqas is also able to test this on HTC Wildfire successfully. This update of Android Market fixes a tiny security hole. From some comments on Android Forums, it is appearing that this version is running on unreleased phones.
How to upgrade Android phones to Android Market 2.2.11
1. Download Android Market Version 2.2.11 and save it on your desktop.
2. Unzip the file.
3. Connect your phone to PC and mount SD card as flash drive.
4. Copy the APK file to SD card root.
5. Open Android Market.
6. Download Astro File Manager.
7. Launch Astro File Manager.
8. Tap on SD card and scroll down to Vending_2_2_11.apk.
9. Tap on this APK file and press Open App Manager.
10. Tap on Upgrade.
11. Wait till installation process completes.
12. Exit File Manage.
13. Open Market.
14. You will see usual apps on it. Congrats, you have upgraded to Market version 2.2.11.
Alternatively, if you are unable to do this, download this zip file and flash it on your Android phone through Recovery.
